Hi Everyone,

I have been running SuSe10.2 and it has been stable and works great. We have been using the lastest version of Mysql with out any issues but now want to do some test with Postgresql 8.2 (just to check performance etc.).

We downloaded the most recent SuSe 8.2 RPMs (not source) from
http://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/pos...2.0/10.2-i386/

And installed from RPM (not from source). Install went great, database is operation, etc. etc.

The issue we are having now is that we are not trying to install a bunch of other packages (ie. php5-pgsql) via yast and we get the following error:

can't find dependencies for libpq.so.5

I have looked for the old libpq.so.4 but have been unable to find it an not sure how the functionality would work in either case.

Is there an easy way to get this functional ... other then installing the postgres that came with the distribution - which we would rather not do as we would like to test the newest stable version.

Thoughts/Suggestions?

Curt
