    Linux installation

    I got new hard 160GB and I partioned it using windows xp and made 2 partiotions 1 20G and the 2nd 40G and left the rest unpartioned for linux, when I began the setup it said to me that automatic partitioning is not available I can not edit or resize or do anything except in expert mode where I must delete all partitions, so what shoud I do, any help

    did you try to create new partition? you can create new partitions out of free space in Expert mode.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    in expert mode I can not make partitions for the unpartiotioned part, I must make partitions for all the harddisk and the partitions of windows will be removed, isn't there any way other than that?

    create partitions through GParted LiveCD before installation.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
