    Problem: installing graphic cards.

    Hello guys.
I really need a hand installing my ATI graphics card. I've been checking all the other threads related to this matter, and I tried similar procedures to install it... Not successful though.
    It's a ATI Saphyre 9000.
Tried to reach ATI for this, getting their drivers for Linux, online. Unsuccessful again.
I usually use Linux for C-programming due to my university work. Never saw it as a good Operative System. I'm trying to rebuild that image now, using it 100%. Can you help me?
Thank you anyway, my best regards to the admin crew.

Your card falls in the legacy category now and is not supported in the latest drivers from ATI. The latest driver version that will work for you card is 8.28.8. The link to the x86 version is here:

    http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/l...n-prer200.html

    For x86_64, look here:

    http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/l...n-prer200.html

Also, you must have kernel-sources, make and gcc installed. For the x86_64 version there are additional libraries required and are listed in the readme on the ATI site. Good luck!
