    Samba frustration

I'm new to samba and am very confused by this problem. I had a previously working samba server but i had to nuke my systems and so i had to redo my samba server from scratch. i've got it working kinda but there are a few problems.

the problems are as follows :

Linux1(DHCP) can see my single windows 2000 system and vice versa

my nat box can only see the linux1 system

my linux2 machine can only see the nat and the linux1 boxes

i'm connectet to my instructors network so that my systems can have access to the net. All the systems have net capabilites except for linux2. They call all ping each other. i had to set up the windows system and the linux2 system manually because they would not interact with the dhcp server. any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Are they all on the same subnet? If so, try connecting to the remote servers using IP addresses instead of hostnames (assuming you haven't tried this already). Also, make sure you firewalls are configured on your Suse boxes. On the Windoze servers check the "trusted" section of your configuration and add in the IP ranges all your computers use so the firewall will not abstruct them. That is about all I have for you.
