    Resizing the Linux Partition

Is there an easy way I can do this? I would prefer to use a GUI based partitioner like Gparted, but I tried to install said program and it said i was missing "libuuid". I cant find a place to get this.

Is there an easy(ish) way to expand my ex3 partition? I have 17gb of unused space on an NTFS partition that i could siphon off.

Probably easiest to use the Gparted LiveCD:

    http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php

It's a small download and it's easy to use.

It is just an iso file so I know of no reason you can't. DO NOT burn as a data disk!!

Ok. So i expanded my Linux partition. But it was kinda wierd. my hda2 (linux) partition was an "extended" partition" it had 2 (now 3) sub-partitions, hda5 and hda6. Shouldnt it be one big partition instead of, now 3 smaller ones?

boot up from GParted LiveCD, open terminal and execute 'fdisk -l' command. post output here.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Ok, Havent Been home all day so havent been able to launch the live cd. However i did go intro the Partitioning on OpenSuSE.

hda5 is mounted on "/' (root)
    hda6 is mounted on /home
and hda7 (the new 10 gig partition) is not mounted anywhere.

Should I just change the mount points to the partitions to "/"? or what? (I'll run Gparted life CD when i get home)
