    Hi

I have also been struggling with a similar type pf problem. I am using an ati mobility raedon 9200 card. I have installed the drivers, ran sax2 -r -m 0=fglrx. However when I restart the machine, I get a device not found error in the log and the machine starts in init 3. The only way to fix this is to restore the original xorg.conf with the mesa drivers.

Is there anyone out there who has got it to work with this card and opensuse 10.2, I would certainly like a copy of their xorg.conf.

    Thanks

    what i did

    I went to here http://linux.wordpress.com/2006/05/1...-installation/

Following it step by step as worked for me. I never got the blackscreen of death but running just "sax2" I've never head a blackscreen.

I never actually installed mine from the terminal in windws, I did that long process but it worked.

There maybe a backup for xorg.conf too..I'd ask for that backdoor as far as a good reset to defaults.

    That is for 10.1

If you both have 10.2, that maybe an issue.
