Click on computer icon -> More Applications -> System -> right click on Search for files -> Add to favourites.

    Thanks for the help
But i am not asking for this "search" option (although extremly useful ..thanks)...
I am asking for the "search" that appears in the place of "Show" on the computer icon(Main Menu)
I have saw a demo video of SLED 10 desktop from Novell, that shows the "Search field" exactly where I have the "Show" option, on the Main Menu

Anywaz thanks again for help...becuase even this also is very useful.

This Search is linked to Beagle... and its place is just above the "Show", in the Main Menue.

    For Moderators
    should I move this thread to " Linux Desktop / X-Windows "

The "Search" i was asking for is not available for "root" user. Its available to non-root user, in the Main Menu, above the "Show"
I was asking for help, because I have once saw this option, but didnt notice that this Search is just available for "ordinary users"
