Connecting to Windows share from KDE

I have SuSE 10 with KDE installed. I'm trying to access a Windows file server from Konquerer, but getting an error message.

In the location bar I have: smb://server/share

Click Go. In dialog box, I enter domain/user and then my password.

    The error is:

An error occurred while loading smb://server/share:
    Internal Error
Please send a full bug report to http://bugs.kde.org
Unknown error condition in stat: Connection timed out

I can attach to the same share using the smbclient in a terminal, so connectivity is fine, firewalls are fine, etc., etc.

Does anyone have a fix/work around?

    Thanks

Do you log into a domain? If so, you need to specify your user id as: "domain/user" instead of just "user".

I enter domain/user and then my password.

Thanks much, but I do have that.

    Any other ideas?

The username should be "domain\user" <--- "\" instead of "/". I just tried this and it worked.
