GRUB has nothing to with Partition Size. nothing will go wrong unless you create new partition.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

you can use GParted LiveCD. check its website for instructions.
post the output of fdisk -l command here.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
