    Angry tv out nvidia suse 10.2,

    hi,
    please help
    i am faily new to linux.
    i have suse 10.2 with a geforce 6200. i have installed the drivers correctly and they work perfect. im having trouble configuring the tv out. i have a 28 inch widescreen set as a clone of my crt. the problem is that the tv screen is full, with only a quarter of the display visible!!!!!!!!!!!!! ive followed loads of advice on forums, and the nvidia readme to get this far, but am totally stuck!! please help!!! please please please please!!!!!

    What resolution are you running on the desktop? What is the resolution is the TV? Are they the same??

    my pc monitor is running at10XX x 7XX at 75Hz, my tv can only run at 800 x 600 at 60Hz, ill post my config file at bout 1am. my mates running an fx5700 and having exactly the smae prob!!

    You can't put a 1024x768 picture on a 800x600 monitor/TV.

    Drop the res to 800x600 for your desktop.

    cant i just run both displays at different resolutions, so my pc crt at 10xx x 7xx and my tv at 800 x 600???? i now the cards capable?? it does so in xp!

    hi again - i think i may have found a clue to my problem. thanks for the advice so far. still no joy.

    when my pc boots up, the tv is good and shows the correct size display. but when suse gets to the nvidia brand screen, the size quadruples!!!!!

    please please please!!!

    itsthe last thing i have to get working properly!!!

    That is because the initial screen is 800x600
