Post Problem Configuring my Creative Sound Card!!!!

Guys I installed Suse 9.3 on my comp....The problem is it is detecting both my onboard sound card and my creative sound card but currently I am hearing sound only from my onboard sound card .My other Card though being detected properly is not producing any sound.... I tried checking the cards on SusePlugger(Where the test option produced no sound)and also on the QAMix(where Imput source is not being detected). Folks How do I configure my second sound card so as to listen to the output on my Creative SB Audigy LS Value sound card

This is my second card details as found from SusePlugger:

    Creative SB Audigy LS Value
    Driver Info #0:
    Driver Status: snd-ca0106 is active
    Driver Activation Cmd: "modprobe snd-ca0106"

    Status
    Available Yes
    Configured Yes

    Someone help me out plz!!!!

I am not using 9.3 but 10.2. You can configure your card with YaST->hardware->sound. There you can delete the onboard and edit the creative. This is what I did with my Audigy

Can I delete my onboard sound card..Coz thats the only source for me in Suse to listen to songs currently!!! Anyways how do u edit the Sound Configuration ..Are u talking abt the Options tab under the Sound configuration..If so it says no options for this module !!!The volume button when pressed gives me a screen where I have the Test button which is not working for my Creative Card but is working fine for my onboard!!! Do I necessarily have to delete my onboard..If so can u suggest me as to how to go abt doing my settings for my creative card??

Be sure that you are a member of the audio group for SB based cards in 10.2.

You should be able to tell your applications (configure) to use 1 instead of 0

Alright, you have to configure your Audigy as sound card number 0 and not 1. There must be an option like "set as the primary card". Another option is installing drivers. I haven't installed them though, my audigy worked out of the box. After installing the drivers, if your audigy is ok and is not set as 0 try disabling the onboard card from BIOS.

K first things first...I deleted my onboard sound card entry and also diasabled my BIOS sound card... I see only my Creative card detected now configured as card number 0...I have attached a snapshot of my Creative card setting!!!Does the setting say that my card is detected properly...If so ..next step would be to download the drivers coz when I checked in QAMix my Playback section is blank..Probably I need to download the drivers...Where do I get the drivers from??Which is the appropriate driver for my Card...Audigy SB Value??

Are we installing the right drivers coz my card shows as cnd0106 and not as emu... Well I just felt like saying may be wrong!!! Assuming that the drivers are right I installed the rpm file(emu tools) but the tar gzip file...As I opened through the folder I could not find any configure file or install file to run using "make" I see a bunch of *.c files and *.h files what do I do with these!!!!

Another thing that I noticed here was that Audacity and a few other media players which previously said I/O busy or some /dev/dsp busy that error is not popping up and I very clearly see that my players are able to play some songs...The only issue that has to be sorted out is get the sound on my speakers...Probably is it coz of some Volume Control knob somewhere turned...min!!!! Thanks for sorting out the first phase of the problem

The Readme in /emu-tools-0.9.4/docs explains the installation and generally is very helpful. Post the output of the lspci, run as root.
