    Question xorg.conf - how do i return to a back up from BASH??

    hi -
    ive been playing with xorg.conf to try to get my tv functioning properly. but i went too far, now when i boot into suse 10.2, i get to runlevel 5, but x wont start!!! i have a backup saved in my desktop, and want to replace the file thats being used by X!! i cant even remeber the correct route to get to the file!! i think it is in the /etc/x11, but i couldnt get ther in bash!!!!

    please help!!!!

    It is a capital X in X11

    BTW you can always use the ls (list) command to list the contents of a directory
    or even "dir" like in DOS

    for more info on 'ls' type - info ls or man ls

    BTW you may be able to fix the problem by running 'sax2' as root this should rewrite the xorg.conf file.

    thats awsome!! im still learning and lovin every min!!!!!!!!

    could "/etc/X11/xorg.conf" be the right directory??

    to run sax2 to rewrite the xorg.conf file, would i just do;
    su
    password
    sax2

    or is there more to it than that???
