    DVDAuthor failed dependency

I tried to install DVDAuthor and when it failed the dependencies even though I had installed all the files required, I tried spumux, which also failed the dependencies. The message I got was this:
    Unresolved dependency: installing dvdauthor-0.6.14-0.pm.1.i586[Local packages]
There are no intallable providers of libdvdread-devel for dvdauthor-0.6.14-0.pm.1.i586[Local packages]
This even though I had just installed libdvdread-devel.
Can someone clarify this for me and offer some help? It would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Are you sure you got the right version?

BTW I don't understand why people think they must manually install programs Yast does a nice job of installing and resolving these kind of problems or you can use smart.

Just add packman to your intallation sources.
