    Server sorting issue 9.2

Hi, I have a SuSe 9.2 server that is a simple file server via a workgroup and Samba to 11 windows stations. Our windows database-Omnis Studio uses a "Build File List" command to grab documents form the server and place them in a tree in the windows software where we can pick and print. The problem is when the documents are on a local machine the are sorted alphabetically but when on the file server so all machines have access, the documents come over in a jumbled mess. (Of course in konqueror they are displayed properfly). What can be done to have the documents sort alpha order. I am not a programmer so my CLI experience is juvenile. I assume it has something to do with where they are physcially stored on the disk???
    Thanks,
    Doug

Modify your Windows program to sort the list before displaying. This is a simple bit of programming. Of course if you don't have the source code........
