    When I try to play any medis (*.mp3,*.rm,*.wmv,.... ) it always asks for a decoder although there are many players installed already with suse, from where should I got this encoder and generally when any application asks for a plugin or such thing, where should I search?

    propriatary codacs are not shipped with Suse

    Here is how to get them. I'm assuming you are using 10.2
