    Blank Screen Installing Suse 10.2

Does anyone have any work around for a blank screen when installing Suse 10.2 from DVD on my laptop? I know that the DVD is working ok so I can rule out a problem here. The Suse 10.2 was installed on my Desktop computer, so no problem with the installation DVD.
I got to the initial installation screen - have tried different screen resolutions, VESA and even text only mode, but the system crashes as soon as the installation kernel loads.
Is there any way round this problem, or is Suse just not going to install on my laptop. It is my favourite Linux distro. and I really want to get it onto my laptop. Mandriva installed no problem.

    Thanks,
    Tim

did you try installing in 'text mode'?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Text Mode doesn't use graphics driver and it should work without any problem. post exact error message here.
