    Question unwanted update

    ok i'm on suse 9.3 klamav0.37.x and clamav-.88.x. klamav 0.38 won't run on 9.3 and clamav0.90.1 breaks klamav0.37.x. yast keeps pushing clamav 0.90.1 as a security update. how can i make it stop?

    Thats a good question. How do you stop updates from repeatedly. This is a pure guess. But have you tried in Yast-software-software managment setting the file in question to locked. If that does not do it, it really should. Let us know if it works

    It didn't work Just keeps un-padlocking itself. oh well. thanks for trying.

    Ok one other thing. Did you commit it by like you would an install or removel. That may be needed to save to the database.

    If you mean click `accept' to accept the changes, yes. I guess we should just close this one and call it a stumper?

    I guess so. But there should be some way to do it, after all there is a lock. Sould not the lock lock something?? Also I find it strange that some packages become locked all on their own?????
