Hi All..

I am new to this forum and hope that I am not posting this in the wrong forum...the problem I am having is with Installing Sybase 12.5.4 on SuSE Linux 9. Everything works ok till I select the page size (Custom configuration of the Sybase Adaptive Server). After this it throws an error that the creation of the master device failed and that the Sybase Server could not be started....any ideas? would the SuSE Firewall matter here?

any comments or suggestions are welcome...
