    Multiple Desktops and Screenshot DISABLED!!??

    Seniors,
i have installed Suse Linux 10.1 (KDE) recently. somehow i was able to install Xgl and it's running smooth..
the first problem is, i right click and go to "Configure Desktop", i select there multiple desktops with 4 as the number of desktops....at the same time i see a "black cross" marked at the quicklink area which shows the number of desktops(which in my case is desktop 1).. this means i am not able to enable multiple desktops...so when i rotate the 3-d cube, i can only see Desktop 1 on all 4 sides!
Secondly, i am not able to take screenshots.
i rotate the 3-d desktop cube and i use the "PrintScreen" button, but when i go to the paint application, there is nothing to paste!! what could be the probable cause, and how can i find the solution to it?

    Please Help

Thats the way Xgl works. You get one desktop background that shows on the 4 defined cube sides.

Don't know about printscreen key, have you tried grab - should be in the Utilitied - desktop menu

You must remember that all these fancy desktop managers are in BETA!

Some thing just won't work. Personaly I perfer the old KDE with mutiple desktops. I find it easier to manage. The eye candy is nice but I have work to do
