Hey people dug out my old Toshiba 1620CDS laptop and as its not really that powerful ive been playing about with old distros to see how they perform. My issue is SuSE 9.3 pro refuses to install and ive tried everything i can find on the internet it hangs at "Activating PCMCIA devices... done" ive tried disabling acpi, insmod=ide-generic and nopcmcia=true and it still refuses to budge from that point with the progress bar about a 3rd across the screen. Any help is most appreciated.
