Anyone Have Any Ideas!!!!! Ati Graphics

this is a problem ive been working on for about a a week and a half and have no answer for as of yet.

installed suse 10.2. ati radeon 9250 graphics card was hooked up and onboard video was off in bios during the install.

the graphics card was not detected by suse and as a result (i suspect) neither was the monitor. the xorg.conf file is pretty much empty with no reference to the card or the monitor. i have been unable to get the vesa driver to work.

    tried: sax2 -m -r 0=vesa
    and: sax2 -m -r 1=vesa

yast will not let me into graphics and monitor settings probably cause there not there.

sax gives me errors no screens found

    when i use: sax2 -p i get
    chip 1 is intel
    chip 2 is ati

thats proof that the chip on my pci bus is noticed its just not working.
i dual boot with windows and the card works fine so its not the card.

ive been doing alot of google searching and have found other people using the 9250 with suse.

    anyone have any ideas

    Installing ATI Driver

I went to this website to install my ati driver. http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/ati-installer-HOWTO.html
It seemed to work for me and I have an X1950 PCIExpress. I did do the sax2 -r to complete the process. I hope this helps you out.
