    Starting up X server

I just upgraded from 10.1 to 10.2 and it seemed that the upgrade went well. I booted up successfully the first time and played around a bit. Oddly the second time I attempted to load into my Gnome desktop I got an error that said:

"Failed to start the X server (your graphical interface). It is likely that it is not set up correctly."

it than asked if I would like to see the output and eventually it sent me back to the original login terminal. How do I fix this problem?

Run sax2 as root and see if it fixes the problem.

There may be differences in gnome settings in you home directory. You may need to delete the settings an redo the desktop
