Time racing ahead
Hi folks,
Just a little bug bear, I am running suse 10.2 (32bit) on a compaq m2000 laptop with a turion m-28 processor. everything is now running great except that the time seems to gain about 30-45 mins each day. I had this once before with Xandros and it seemed to be connected to running 32 bit software on a 64 bit processor, any body got any ideas?

This actually might be a problem with CPU speed changes do to power saving. Try turrning throtleing off in Yast-hardware-Power and see if that helps. Note this my result in shorter battary charge times, but it may point to the problem.

Thanks for that, but I don't appear to have an option to disable throttleling, any other ideas ?

Sure there is
Yast-System-Power Managment-Edit Scheme-Edit
And there it is. You need to do it for each scheme you are using.

If that was not it I have no clue, sorry.
If you reboot does the time show correct? It may have to do with the BIOS.
