    no sound & Mplayer Problem

    I am using suse 10.2
I have installed Mplayer using Yast. the installation was fine there were no errors but when i installed mplayer it gives the error and did not play any video following was the error.

    file:///home/gardezi/Desktop/pics/mplayer1.png

if the picture is not displayed
the separate dialog box opens and display the error:
New_Face Failed. Maybe the font path is wrong. Please supply the text font file (~/.mplayer/subfont.tff).

I have installed xine-lib and xine-ui after installing SUSE 10.2 every thing was working fine but
when i upgarded few audio files from Software updater eg gstreams and other like that. I did not remember exactly. my system audio was gone no sound is there. no video & audio file is playing. My sound card is working. now i dont know what to do to bring my audio back. now xine-lib is also not installing, it gives me the error.

plz solve the above two problems

you can copy any font to that place and rename it to subfont.ttf
this font is used for subtitles, dunno about the sound error
