sound & video probles under SuSE 10.2

    Hello,
I am a little bit newbie in linux, but could you suggest me what to do in order to get my sound and video work? Both sound card and video card are onboard (VIA chipset), what should I do to get them work?
    Thanks in advance.

First you should know what do you have as a sound card & vga card.

The sound card is the responsibility of alsa, and the video is a xorg module driver,if you already installed Suse 10.2 and there is no sound and no vga so at this point try lspci command and post the output to see how we can install a driver for them.

    Hope this help.

Besides, my video card is "VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP", could somebody tell me where I can download the proper driver for this device, and how to install it?
    Best regards.
