    Thumbs down mplayer subfont.ttf

OK! I give up. Just spent nearly 2 hours trying to sort this .......................................... out.

Tried the stuff advised on the website, tried most of the things advised on the web, but nothing works.

    1. I can not find .ttf files. I found one discussion, where the possible path given, worked, but can't find it now. Although, I did copy one of the files to the ~/.mplayer directory

    2. Where can I fnd a config file for that .................................................. ........... program? I am a bit new to Linux.

Got to go to work tomorrow, so need to get some sleep

All what do have to do is the following:

    ln -sv /usr/X11R6/lib/fonts/TTF/Saab.ttf subfont.ttf

or you can select another font from that directory.

    hope this help.

    Thanks for your reply

The problem was as I said that I didn't remember the folder where the fonts were kept And as I was using "find" to search for them, it didn't give me much results either.

    But all is sorted now

Sorry but that didn't work for me - so I tried another way.
I simply went to the directory with the subfont.ttf - copied another font in to it and renamed it to subfont.ttf.

If you have a grafical interface, go into options.

There you have an option of setting a font, browse to this folder
    " /usr/X11R6/lib/fonts/TTF"
and pick the font you like

    That's the simplest way.
