Do I need all iso's for install ?

I'm currently running Ubuntu 7. I'm thinking of trying SuSE. My only problem is that my internet connection "dsl" is not all that fast. I noticed there are like 5 iso images. Do i need all of them, or can I just download #1 ? This might be a deal breaker as I dont wanna download more then 700mb. Also can anyone thats used both Ubuntu and SuSE, comment on what and why the like one or the other better ?

    Thanks

You can download a minimal install disc and do a network install. Another alternative would be to get all the discs or dvd from a cheap distro reseller e.g. Cheeplinux.

You could use one Disc, which would have the bare minimum, and you could get the extra software later on.
