    Virtual machines for Linux

    Hi Everyone

I need to run some of the Windows software on my SUSE 10 laptop. The best way I found is to run a virtual machine and to run Windows under it.

Does anyone know any other VMs except VMWare, which costs a little fortune.

Example of programs I need to run:

    Office 2003
    MS Sequel Server
    ASP.NET
    Usable Media Player

You can try winframe, that is what I use. Its cheap and easy to implement. I use it to connect to my windows boxes and run apps off the windows boxes.

Have you tried QEMU? It's pretty good, especially if you install the accelerator patch which is now free and GPL'd. Check out QEMU

VMware Server is free. It does not have the bells and whistles of Worksatation but works fine.
