No sound in New Box with Suse 10.2

I got an Intel Desktop Board D975XBX with sound incorporated 7.1 Audio Intel 975X Express Chipset, Intel High Definition Audio Codec, up to 8-channel audio with jack sensing. Suse 10.2 Well I have tried everything,but nothing has sound: Amarock, Audacity, etc, not even when it boots up. The sound card is recognized. the controller is the right one. Any ideas? How do I setup the sound mixer?

I fixed it! I just had to change xine engine for Alsa driver. Thanks anyway.
