Problems With New Update
I recently updated to SUSE 10.2 and for some reason during the update I ran into a few problems with my ZenWorks Software updater. It originally ran an error when it first tried to configure it during the CD set up and now every time I log on to Linux my ZMD software updater is turned off. Also it doesn't allow me to synchronize Yast with ZenWorks after I install packages. Can you please help me?

Well you could drop back a version but Zen never has worked well. I use Smart now and am very happy with it
You might want to just disable Zen and install smart

You can use SMART as suggested above or uninstall the Zen stuff so that the old openSUSE tools are used instead.

But it worked perfectly fine before the upgrade, why would that change? I liked ZenWorks it updated my Kernel and never gave me problems before.

Very simple there was an upgrade. Some piece of the upgrade broke something. Now however you are kinda of stuck How are you going to get further upgrades if the software that does it is broken. Perhaps a further upgrade will fix it perhaps not. In any case you need an app that will upgrade you. Smart is very nice and much faster then Yast. You can run both if you want. But until Zen is fixed you will need something. Try it you might even like it.
