    I just need to know how to Add a menu option to boot SUSE Linux in character mode (runlevel 3). I'm not to sure of the correct format. Thanks.

    copy and paste title block ( title, root, kernel and initrd lines ).
    assign new title string and add <space> 3 at the end of kernel line.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
