    Problem with WLAN

Hi, i've recently installed openSUSE 10.2 in my computer.
Problem is that i can't really use it quite yet, this is because my WLAN doesn't want to work.

It finds itself automatic when i use the windows XP media center install disc, so why doesn't it work on my openSUSE?

My WLAN is a Fujitsu siemens WLAN Adapter USB D1705.

My Linux dist is openSUSE 10.2

Would appreciate help fast so i can run my Linux dist.

    Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately there is no Driver for Linux to your Wifi , so you'll have to use ndiswrapper, install it through Yast and also install the kernel-source,
after download the Windows driver (or you have it already win98/xp recommended), and follow these instructions :

    mkdir /lib/windrivers
    cp <driver>.inf /lib/windrivers
cp <driver>.sys /lib/windrivers (and *.sys and the *.inf are the windows driver)

    load the driver:
    ndiswrapper -i /lib/windrivers/<driver>.inf

    modprobe ndiswrapper

However the ndiswrapper site said about some supported Wifi card it seems that it support for D1700 ,and you have to much luck to get it to work.

    Hope this help.
Linux is not only an operating system, it's a philosophy.
    Archost.
