Have you tried to run
Yast-Hardware-Graphics card Monitor
??
This should allow you to adjust the position

Also, try to reinstall the NVidia drivers. Do this by using YAST.
Here you can find on how to do it:
NVIDIA - openSUSE
I also had problems in getting my display to work fine and only after I reinstall the drivers I could fix the problems (I've had problems with the refresh rate; basically I almost couldn't look at the monitor). By reinstaling them using YAST you are sure you're using the right NVidia drivers compiled for Suse distros.

I had the same problem - try setting the screen refresh rate to 75 hz in sax2 this worked on one machine for me. On the other one I had to set it to 54 hz, both are now fine.

What install instructions are you using? You should use the hard way in above referenced page above.
Be sure that you have gcc, kernel source, and make installed before trying.
Be sure you get the right driver for your card from the NVIDIA site.
If you have a video card on the mother board be sure that it is disabled in the BIOS.
