    Problem in mplayer installation

    Hi,
    I am new to linux and i am using suse 10.1 i have installed mplayer from packmen.
    When i type mplayer in terminal it gives the following message.

    Can't open joystick device /dev/input/js0: No such file or directory
    Can't init input joystick
    mplayer: could not connect to socket
    mplayer: Connection refused
    Failed to open LIRC support. You will not be able to use your remote control.
    New_Face failed. Maybe the font path is wrong.
    Please supply the text font file (~/.mplayer/subfont.ttf).
    subtitle font: load_sub_face failed.

    Please help me how to avoid this problem step by step.

    There's no problem here, if you want to play file just do

    mplayer ~/myfile.avi

    and window will pop with the video
