Various installations and adjustments
Hi all,
First of all I'm new to Linux and I've read many pdfs and other forumz but I still haven't found what I'm lookin' for
I have the brand new Ati driver but it's a *.run file and I have no clue how to install it. Suse didn't install it and it keeps telling me that it runs on framebuffer.
Second Issue although Suse perfectly recognized my monitor and whatever I do I can't change the refreshrate it claims it's on 76hz but it's actually 60 and my Compaq s710 can do 85hz@1024. That hurts my eyes and that keeps me from using Suse.
Third issue how can I set up pppoe under Linux without a router?
Thanks in advance I hope my questions aren't too trivial

Regarding your ATI drivers, have a look at this tutorial first:

Hope that helps!
