Hi all,

Having finally given up waiting for Linspire to support bluetooth, I have switched to openSuSE, which not only is one of the most user-friendly Linux distros there is, but has excellent WiFi and bluetooth, too! However, I am having a problem getting my printer added - and have tried both my HP DJ450 and my DJ6122. They work great when wired via USB, but that's not how I'd rather print.

So, I am very thankful for any help I can get to solve this. To start with, I installed the KDE interface on my version 10.2, 32-bit system (IBM T40p laptop), since it's the one I know best - and everything else works great! I started with YaST to add a printer - it does a scan and finds it, allows me to specify certain settings, but when it comes time to finish and save the configuration, the error message comes up that it cannot save the settings because the "print spooler is the wrong type". Hmmm....

I have bluez-cups installed, just like my SAMS SuSE Linux 10 Unleashed book says, but this does not seem to matter. I have been looking on every forum post board I can find, the man pages of my system and the four Linux books I have - nothing on wrong print spoolers. I have to believe there's a simple fix for this to change print spoolers.

Nuff said - thanks in advance for your time!

Cheers, Robbie
