    Cable Modem Setup

I've always used DSL to connect to the internet, and have
recently switched providers and now have a cable modem.

Setting up DSL was as easy opening Yast2>Network Devices>DSL and entering the provider, username and password.

I assumed setting up the cable modem would essentially be the same but have not figured out how to connect. I've searched the board and the web for info but have found nothing. Is there something simple i have overlooked? It is a Motorola SB5101 Surfboard cable modem.

If a similar post or tutorial exists, please send me the link....

EDIT: Can anyone tell me how to test my cable modem, where to find it in /dev, how to troubleshoot etc.

It's not quite a similar thread, but it worth trying:

    Hope that helps!
