    Playing DVDs...

OK, I have searched like mad and maybe I am just not finding it because I am using terms that I am used to from other distros, though I don't know... but it is driving me nuts trying to find the info when I am sure that thousands of other people have asked the same question at one time or another (and yet I cannot find when they asked it)...

How do I play my legally purchased DVDs on my legally purchased computer using my legally obtained copy of openSuse, despite the INSANE restrictions we have in this country?

Only in America is playing legally purchased DVDs on legally purchased computers using a legally obtained OS a crime...

Windaria, you need to download a package called 'libdvdcss'. You can get the RPM for it from here Along with that you *might* possible need something called libxine etc. But I assume you'll get the help to that in ozar's link, also check for 'libdvdread' and 'libdvdplay'.

After having downloaded it you will have to install the rpm file, it will look a little like this.
    Code:
    rpm -i libdvdcss-1.2.8-alt1.rpm
    Good luck
