    Angry Configure Lucent Win Modem

Hi all, I think this is the worst case of all, anyway,

As instructed by kr4ey, I think that adding a repo is the only way to say goodbye to the errors (Can't find X includes..). But as he says, I have to connect my computer to the internet to do so.

I cannot configure my Lucent Win Modem because the Driver is in a .tar.bz2 package (I have SuSE 9.2 Kernel 2.6. and that package can't be installed until I am able to compile BunZIP Archives.

You see both are interlinked. I would be grateful to someone who can send me a ltmodem driver RPM package. So that, I can install it and continue my problems. It must be suitable for a Kernel 2.6 because older versions are not one bit help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

(You may understand my level of impatience by the number of Exclamation Marks!)

    You can,
    tar -xvjf linuxant.tar.bz2
and simply go to the extracted package and do make install
not you have to have the kernel source code installed.

    Cheers.
Linux is not only an operating system, it's a philosophy.

    Hello
You may want to try here.

    linmodems.org

It would probably be easier to use a external hardware serial modem.
