    Incomplete shutdown in Suse 10.2

I have a Compaq Presario SN1990AN, based on an AMD64.

Everything is working fine, except when I shutdown the computer: it starts the shutdown process, but it NEVER completes; I have to use the "windoz" way and press the power button of the PC to cut the power off. But the restart process is ok. I can restart the computer from Suse without any problems.

Any ideas how to solve this?

You should also check your logs for clues

    Code:
Skipped services in runlevel 0 : SuSefirewall2_setup nfs
Any ideas? Also, where is the log for shutdown process? (I'm a newbie in terms of Linux administration )
