Please Help... Wireless problems - Suse 10.2
Hello, i just installed suse on my laptop its a hp pavilion dv6150us, i was trying to use the wireless card but i cant... im really new to this... i used linux before but then i didnt even had a wireless card... I checked on YaST > Network Devices > Network Card ... and apparently my wireless card is installed... at least is shown there...
This is what its called on YaST:
Hewlett-Packard Company PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
i've selected to use NetworkManager which i dont even know what it is... i tried to run in and the wired connection starts acting crazy...
I dont know how to start solving this problem... i heard the killing switch that my laptop has is turning the wireless card off... and i should disable it using the bios... but there is no option to do that in the bios... im LOST... can anybody help me?

I have exactly the same card and it should work perfectly under openSuSE 10.2
Keep wireless radio on from the switch. Also keep in mind that with knetworkmanager you cannot manage multiple interfaces, so you will not be able to use wired connection in the same time with wireless. In yast try editing your card (essid, wep). It would be useful having "wireless network information" added in your main panel. If nothing happens after editing the card, try installing the drivers from here.
