    Upgrading glibc

    Hi

I am currently running a very old version of SuSE (10.0) and the version of glibc on it is 2.3.xx while I want to upgrade to 2.4...How do I go about it? When I use the software management module in yast it tells me that glibc is already the latest version (2.3)....

    Thanks

You need to find a repository with the newer package. The official repositories tend to be older because Suse (Novell) tends to stable rather then cutting edge so they are slow to upgrade the distro

I know you said before you had trouble with 10.2, but maybe consider pointing your repositories at 10.2. All you do is change the URL for each replacing 10.0 with 10.2. You should get a lot of package upgrades while keeping your current config.
