how were you trying to install these updates? I mean via the online update module or by using some repo in the software management module? I will like to warn you of using the latter method as it is quite risky...you can break ur system sometimes. Always use safe repos.
If you still want to update your system it might be because you have/had installed some software from one of such repos and now SuSE cant tailor the update to that specific version. In that case you can disable all the added repos (temporarily) and re-install the software in question using ur DVD/CDs (use the software installation module). That shall resolve the issue for now.

Are you using openSUSE 10.2? What package are you trying to install that is causing the dependency error? The easiest way out of the bind you're in is to make sure you have the package repositories you need in YaST:
Add Package Repositories to YaST - openSUSE
For repos, look at these links:
Package Repositories - openSUSE
Additional YaST Package Repositories - openSUSE
I suggest sticking with OSS, non-OSS, update, Guru and Packman; beyond that, heed the warnings posted concerning third party repos... "These packages are not supported by openSUSE, the packages may not be tested and the repositories can contain beta versions and other bleeding edge packages." Do NOT update blindly or needlessly!
Another alternative would be to install and use Smart:
Package Management/Smart - openSUSE

install some update?
It can be any update. Like now I am trying to install my security. it won't install

We are not saying what to update but how to update. The thing in question is not the package you are trying to update but the third party repos. Do one thing. Go to Yast --> Software --> Installation sources and make sure that anything other that what docarockus said is disabled. Now re-install those conflicting packages and then try to update/install things.

Please pay attention to the details. I posted links for openSUSE 10.2 repos. If you are using SuSE 10.0, then you must use the 10.0 repos!

Depends upon the repo but its always better to use current version repos (so use 10.0 which is current in your case)
