Possible? Issuing command from one session to another

I am looking for a way to issue a command from one session to another.

To be more specific, I want the capacity to SSH into my SLED10 box, which already has a VNC server running, and issue a command via the SSH session and have it appear/executed in the VNC session.

For example, I might run 'emacs' at the command line in SSH and have the emacs interface display in VNC.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks in advance!

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

If it's simply not possible, that would be helpful to know, as well.
