    Making Files Writable

I've noticed that since I've reinstalled SuSE I cannot write MP3 file tags through Amarok. What I mean is that is I try to use amarok to edit the tag I get the message 'file is not writable' I assume this is due to some permission being locked but I cannot find a way to remedy this problem. In properties for the folder which contains sub-folders for all my music, the permission is set 'Group: can view and modify' and group is set 'users' I have checked in user management and the default user group for my login is 'users' so what is causing this problem?

What about the individual files. They also have permissions.
