Question Suse 10.2: no sound with headphones pluged in... Help please!

    Hi everyone,
i am using Suse 10.2 (KDE) on a Asus notebook A6V and everything works just fine ( even the 3d support for my ATI x700!!), the only problem is when I plug in my headphones : Nada!!

I tried to change things with Kmix but nothing happens ,

The drivers I am using are ALSA, the audiochip is a Realtek Alc880, High definition audio controler (whatever that means...)

    any help would be appreciated.
    Many thanks in advance

Try going to the Kde menu - Multimedia - Volume Control - AlsaMixerGUI. Adjust volumes there, and check to see that nothing is muted.

Hi,thanks for the tip. I did all that with no results, also updated all ALSA pacages and nothing changed! maybe just a big Bug with my sound card vs Linux.
