Suse 10.2 won't power off with the power button

I recently upgraded a Suse 9.3 server to Suse 10.2 (new installation)

Today i noticed that the power button doesn't shutdown the server at all. I can't see anything in /var/log/messages when I press the power button. This used to work in Suse 9.3, so it's not a Mobo issue. Google reports quite a few posts with this problem, but none which actually gives me an answer.

So, does anyone know how to fix it?

You should not power off anyway. What happens if you do a normal shutdown? Anything hang?
