Thank your replying abhishek. I didn't try root yet but everything is like fresh install. The firefox came with Suse. I tried removing it and downloading but still it wont work. I did notice the configuration was somehow retained when I did a remove and install.

I am not sure if it will work but try to move ~/.mozilla folder.
    Close Firefox and execute this:
    Code:
    mv ~/.mozilla ~/Mozilla.bak
    Run Firefox again.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

ok thank you devils_casper I will try that in 20 hours. That will make firefox think It has no config and so it will re-create it right?

Yes. FireFox will create new .mozilla folder.

I found a way around the problem. I'm sorry for the time wasted. I noticed in the KNetworkManger applet that I was using wireless. Weird thing, is I know I don't have wireless on teh desktop I am using. I disabled the wireless network, and enabled the wired network, restarted now I can browse with both konqueror and firefox even with ipv6 enabled.

Happy computing to all. Thanks to those who looked into the problem
