How to use DVD drive like in windows

Hi,

Another question. I remember during my past setup 10.0, there was already a short cut on my desktop for my optical drive. But now it's not there and I tried several things:

using root, I did
$ mount /dev/hdc /media/dvdrom

this worked but the contents of the media returned when I change disk is corrupted, I need to re mount to browse the correct data. Another thing is with yast admin, i needed to umount the drive first before the yast admin can properly use the dvd drive again. Ay help would be greatly appreciated.

You must unmount before removing!

But, a CD icon should showup when you insert a disk and auto-mount.

Which desktop?
