Dual screens on nVidiaGeForce FX 5200 - How To

I have a dual-boot system (Windows 2000 & SuSE 10.2) which includes a nVidia GeForce FX 5200 card and two CRTs.

The two screens work absolutely fine under Windows (Hitachi CM721F 19" @ 1280x960 & Mitsubishi DiamondPlus 220 22" @ 1600x1200). However, the 2nd screen is scrambled under SuSE 10.2. I can 'sort of ' read it but it is very much all 'over the place'.

How do I set up the characteristics of the 2nd screen under SuSE 10.2?

    Any tips greatly appreciated.

There is a file that you can edit

    /etc/X11/xorg.conf

You can also try setting it up in Yast, which simply change the above file.

You will need to restart X for thing to take effect.

Many thanks for these suggestions, I read the tutorial and tried to follow it via the YaST route. I didn't get very far:

If I go into the YaST Control Centre and click on "Hardware Information", the devices are probed for a while and in due course are listed. Under "Display", two monitors are identified:
    Hitachi CM721F
    Bandwidth : 202
    Height : 1,200
    Width : 1,600
    Horiz. sync : 31 to 95
    Vert. sync : 50 to 120

    Mitsubishi NSV1107K (Diamond Plus 220)
    Bandwidth : 229
    Height : 1,200
    Width : 1,600
    Horiz. sync : 30 to 110
    Vert. sync : 50 to 160
When I go into Yast & SaX2: X11 Configuration - Card and Monitor Proiperties, only one monitor (the Mitsubishi NSV1107K) is referenced. How do I get both of them recognised so that I can activate Dual Head Mode?

Further to this, if I try to "Change Display 1" under "Card and Monitor Properties" and select Hitachi under Vendor, the CM721F isn't even listed - there are masses of other monitors listed. The Mitsubishi NSV1107K is described as having a diagonal size of 19.5 inches although it should be 22 inches (19.8 inches viewable). Does anyone have any idea how I can amend and/or add to this list?
